The solid colours use a high-density raw-cotton cloth woven far tighter than ordinary shirting, then core sand-washed to raise a fine short nap. The result is crisp but never stiff, with a matte, faintly crinkled surface that softens with every wash.

The striped colourway is a 70s long-staple cotton in fine blue and white verticals, given a Smooth Wash finish that leaves a light natural crease and needs no ironing. Drop shoulders soften the shoulder line and a curved, stepped hem keeps the volume fluid.
